about

Exclusive Bandcamp release not available at retailers.

Smigliano / Infantino / D'Anonymous Sessions. First volume of archival jam sessions.

The abandoned original incarnation of the Batwanger series (batwanger.bandcamp.com). This is the album whose creation process kept me away from the bars and returned me to sobriety after a period of four years off the wagon exacerbated by a botched suicide attempt, involuntary detox, and the losses of my job and mother. This was originally intended as a three volume set, each cover tinted a color of the Italian flag to represent the common ethnicity of the ensemble. The first volume was released weeks after my last drink but the second volume was nixed and the project renamed at the request of one of the musicians who didn't want to be associated with the project.

Those of you familiar with the Batwanger recordings already know these tracks, albeit in a different order with a couple quirks.

Listen or don't. Download what thou wilt.

about

J. M. Smig Salem, Massachusetts

The musical equivalent of the guy at the party who offends everyone by mooning the camera (but guess what everyone does to the camera minutes later), Smig is the Witch City's composer laureate (not a difficult achievement, in all honesty).

"[C]ontemporary music for the bizarre at heart...[His] electronica and classical works operate in a style unlike any other."
