Peaches En Regalia

from Sit On A Single by J. M. Smig

about

Advance single from the album "Unsmigitated Audacity".

"I think I am crushing on J.M. Smig because I am fascinated by their work. Smig is from my area of town: Salem, Massachusetts. I have never even been to an event – I do not even know if Smig has concerts (need to check that out). I would not add Smig to the “traditional” Instrumental playlist. Smig lists “Peaches en Regalia” as an Electronic piece and this is true, but I also think experimental. This is not a dinner instrumental, this is a party instrumental or even a warm up to exercise. “Peaches” has energy and Smig also labels the song “nu disco” and this is probably the right term. I love this piece (notice it is on my wishlist). I do not know why Smig has not joined with other artists because Smig has amazing talent and can make anyone’s lyrics sound better. Put J.M. Smig on your radar and keep them there because their sound is always amazing."

about

J. M. Smig Salem, Massachusetts

The musical equivalent of the guy at the party who offends everyone by mooning the camera (but guess what everyone does to the camera minutes later), Smig is the Witch City's composer laureate (not a difficult achievement, in all honesty).

"[C]ontemporary music for the bizarre at heart...[His] electronica and classical works operate in a style unlike any other."
